Dr. Alistair Pickering
I studied dentistry at Melbourne University, graduating in 1991.
After working in Warrnambool for several years, I began working at Cardinia Dental in 1996 where I remained until 2005. I have returned to Pakenham after living and working in Merimbula/Bega NSW.
I look forward to reconnecting with the local community after several years away.
My professional interests are most aspects of general dentistry and away from the practice I am enjoying all of life’s changes that come with fatherhood.
Dr. Peter Bhogal
I studied at Melbourne University, graduating in 1987. I then did a doctorate, finishing in 1998. I have worked at many practices over the years, including Ocean Grove, Geelong, Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne, Preston, Rowville and Point Lonsdale before starting at Cardinia Dental.
I love golf and have travelled to America to watch the PGA.
I also love listening to music and playing the guitar.
Dr. Shireen Hamid
I graduated from University of Nairobi (Kenya) with B.D.S. in 1996. I moved to Australia in year 2000, studied for my Australian Dental Council examinations and graduated in 2003. I have sucessfully completed a 2 year diploma course in orthodontics. My main interest in dentistry lies in cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge, implants, orthodontics, prosthetics and oral surgery.
I have done several voluntary dental projects organised by charitable organisations in the past.
I am married with one son.
My hobbies include art and craft work, reading, swimming, gym and walking. I usually go for holidays to different parts of Australia as I get to see and learn a lot. I like to keep up with new technology and developments taking place in the world.
As well as being fluent in English, I also speak Hindi, Swahili and Gujarati
Dr. Sophea Hay
I graduated with Honours from The University of Melbourne in 2010.
My particular interest is paediatric dentistry, where my aim is to provide a gentle, non-intimidating and overall positive introduction for children into the dental practice.
Outside of dentistry I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach and rock climbing. I am fluent in English and Cambodian and am keen to learn Italian.
Dr. Vincent Choy
I qualified from the University of Melbourne in 2006 with honours.
As well as working in a private practice, I have spent time treating patients in Alice Springs. I have also taught and examined dental students from the University of Melbourne since 2009.
I am passionate and enjoy all facets of dentistry. I aim to empower my patients and provide them with a positive experience. I am particularly skilled in crown and bridge, surgical extractions, root canal therapy, as well as general and cosmetic dentistry.
My hobbies include alpine skiing, playing squash and supporting my beloved Liverpool and Carlton football clubs.
Dr. Senthini Ganesvaran
I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science Degree (with Honours) in 2001. I also completed an Honours degree in Dentistry at the University of Melbourne and have published research in this area. I have practised dentistry in numerous private and public clinics (Community clinics).
I have worked at Cardinia Dental since 2004 and bring with me a breadth of knowledge and skills. My approach to dentistry is to ensure that my patients have a positive and enjoyable experience and that they are well-informed and empowered.
I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge, root canal therapy, and provision of dentures. I also enjoy treating children. Being a mother, has enabled me to understand children and be adaptive and patient while treating them. My dental philosophy is based on preventative dental care and educating patients to improve overall health.
I grew up in the UK and my family moved to Bendigo (Victoria) where I finished my schooling. Outside of dentistry I enjoy spending time with my family and travelling to learn about other cultures. I am also fluent in the Tamil language.
Dr. Olivia Jom
I graduated from La Trobe University in Bendigo, with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and a Masters in Dentistry.
I have worked in both community dental as well as private practice and I have also been involved in a number of outreach programs, providing dental care to underprivileged communities and children with special needs.
I enjoy all aspects of general and aesthetic dentistry, have a family-oriented approach and strive to create a calm, enjoyable dental experience for every patient in my chair.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy cooking, exploring the outdoors and travelling.
Dr. Nick Saha
Attending The University of Melbourne, Nick graduated with honours in a Bachelor of Dental Science. His first few years after graduation were spent in rural towns across Victoria, ranging from Swan Hill in the far north to Melbourne City, Bairnsdale, Sale, Warragul and Traralgon.
In 2012 he spent the year as an Oral Surgery Resident for the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne where he was one of a team of health professionals attending to patients with complex medical and surgical needs. Dr Saha is currently completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Monash University in order to specialise in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, studies which require Dr Saha to be qualified as both a dentist and a medical practitioner.
Similar to other dentists practicing at Cardinia Dental, Dr Saha is committed to providing highest level of patient care and has travelled extensively to both attend and present at Continuing Professional Educations courses. He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and practices all fields of dentistry with a special interest in wisdom teeth extractions and dental implants.
Outside of dentistry Nick loves spending time with his family and enjoys an active lifestyle that includes cycling, soccer, and basketball.
