Dr. Andrew Fisher

I grew up in Glen Waverley, one of six children. I studied at Melbourne University and graduated in 1988. I started working in Koo Wee Rup and Pakenham after I graduated and then purchased the Pakenham practice. The surgery moved to its current location in 1998 after my four brothers worked together to convert an old house into our modern surgery.

I am married with four daughters.

I am a fanatical Collingwood Football Club supporter.

I love computers and keeping up to date with all the latest technology.

My family and I love spending time together. We often go hiking together as well as riding bikes along some of Melbourne’s fantastic bike tracks.

Dr. Peter Bhogal

I studied at Melbourne University, graduating in 1987. I then did a doctrate, finishing in 1998. I have worked at many practices over the years, including Ocean Grove, Geelong, Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne, Preston, Rowville and Point Lonsdale before starting at Cardinia Dental.

I love golf and recently travelled to America to watch the PGA.

I also love listening to music

Dr. Senthini Ganesvaran

I have lived in Australia since 1989, having previously lived in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

After completing a Bachelor of Science degree from Monash University in 1995, I completed an honours degree in dentistry at the University of Melbourne. I also graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree in 2001 at the University of Melbourne. I then practiced dentistry in both the private and public sectors (community dentistry) in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne as well as the city. My professional interest spans all aspects of dentistry.

I enjoy travelling overseas and learning about other cultures.

Apart from English I am also fluent in the Tamil language.

Dr. Shireen Hamid

I graduated from University of Nairobi (Kenya) with B.D.S. in 1996. I moved to Australia in year 2000, studied for my Australian Dental Council examinations and graduated in 2003. I have sucessfully completed a 2 year diploma course in orthodontics. My main interest in dentistry lies in cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge, implants, orthodontics, prosthetics and oral surgery.
I have done several voluntary dental projects organised by charitable organisations in the past.
I am married with one son.
My hobbies include art and craft work, reading, swimming, gym and walking.
I usually go for holidays to different parts of Australia as I get to see and learn a lot. I like to keep up with new technology and developments taking place in the world.

As well as being fluent in English, I also speak Hindi, Swahili and Gujarati

Dr. Sophea Hay

I graduated with Honours from The University of Melbourne in 2010.

My particular interest is paediatric dentistry, where my aim is to provide a gentle, non-intimidating and overall positive introduction for children into the dental practice.
Outside of dentistry I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach and rock climbing. I am fluent in English and Cambodian and am keen to learn Italian.

Dr. Ajay Kapadia

I was born and grew up in Pakenham, I studied at the
University of Melbourne and graduated with a Bachelor
of Dental Science in 2002. In addition to working for
Cardinia Dental, I teach dental students at the
University of Melbourne.


I enjoy bike riding, sports and reading. I have travelled
recently to Europe, but look forward to exploring more
of Australia with my wife and son.

Dr. Satthya Nithiyanandan

I graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Melbourne University, before following my calling to dentistry.

I studied at Griffith University in Queensland, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Dentistry.

I have worked both in the private and public sector and enjoy all aspects of general dentistry.

My other passion is travelling and learning about other cultures, although it always feels great coming back home.

Apart from English, I am fluent in Tamil.

Dr Alistair Pickering

I Studied dentistry at Melbourne Uni, graduating in 1991.
After working in Warrnambool for several years, I began working at Cardinia Dental in 1996 where I remained until 2005.
My Wife and I recently celebrated the arrival of our first child (Sept 2009) and I have returned to Pakenham after living and working in Merimbula/Bega NSW.
I look forward to reconnecting with the local community after several years away.
My professional interests are most aspects of general dentistry and away from the practice I am enjoying all of life’s changes that come with fatherhood.

Dr. Mihiri Silva

I studied at the University of Melbourne and graduated in 2004 with honours. This year, I will be completing my Masters of Dental Science by Research, University of Melbourne – looking at a training program for carers at nursing homes to improve oral health of residents.
I have a special interest in Paediatric dentistry and have commenced specialist training in 2011.
I have also been involved with demonstrating at Melbourne University – supervising training dental students at the Dental Hospital.
I am extensively involved with the ADA Victorian Branch - being a former chairman of the Recent Graduates Committee and a former councilor.  
I have taken part in a volunteer trip doing pro bono dental treatment in orphanages and rural villages in India.

I go on holidays a lot – especially to Europe. My hobbies include bike riding, shopping and eating out.

I am fluent in Singhalese.
